But with time and patience and a career as web designer I learned the ins-and-outs of building websites, and now I want to share what I’ve learned to help you succeed (quickly and without all the technical stuff that gets in the way!).
My Story
Hi! My name is Daniel Fava and I graduated college in 2004 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree and a focus on web design. I’ve worked for over 11 years in various online marketing agencies while doing freelance work on the side. While I have worked on hundreds of projects, including brochures, logos and business cards, my passion since college has always been this crazy place known as the world wide web.
In 2008, I thought I had my life and career all figured out. That is, until the economy completely tanked and I was let go after 3 months at a new job. Back to the drawing board.
Through much soul-searching and exhaustion from job searching, I decided to take six months off to travel and do some missions work. It was the best decisions of my life. I ended up spending a month in India and two months in Thailand. It was there, while working for an organization that rescues women from sex trafficking, I met my wife, a missionary and a therapist. The full package!
Meet My Wife, the Therapist
After we got married and settled in our new home in Atlanta, it was time to figure out the whole work thing. Luckily, I had a few past co-workers who went on to start their own online agencies, so I was able to work on building their clients’ websites from home and enjoy time with my bride.
My wife began the challenge of searching for a job and pursuing her goal of being a licensed professional counselor. Starting fresh in a new state proved to be difficult and it took some time to find the right one. I’m pretty sure the day she landed the job (after jumping up and down in excitement) I said, “now we have to build you a website!” So I put my knowledge and years of WordPress know-how to use and created her website.
Any therapist starting out knows how difficult it is to build your practice and get that client load built up and steady. My wife’s story was no different. It was slow at first but over time, she got more calls. And something amazing began to happen: A theme began to emerge of clients telling her, “I was researching 2 other therapists, but I just loved your website and decided to go with you.”

Over time, it would happen more and more. Potential clients would call or email her based on the attractiveness of her website. And then I started to get inquiries from other therapists and my wife’s coworkers about building their own websites.
I began to wonder not if I could build these websites for them but what if I could do even more? What if I began sharing everything I know about building websites and what we learned from marketing my wife’s site? Maybe I could help even more therapists and private practitioners get their websites and blogs up and running and help them be successful.
So that’s how this website was born. I hope to help as many counselors, chiropractors, therapists and private practitioners as I can be successful online and gain more clients.
I am no expert, but I do know that making a website does not have to be hard. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by all the technology and options. But I try my best to simplify and give you only what you need to know. I truly believe anyone can do this.
